Judge Pryor Featured Speaker at University of Mobile 2012 Constitution Day

The University of Mobile departments of history and political science will host the 2012 Constitution Day program featuring 11th Circuit Court of Appeals Judge William H. Pryor Jr. 

The event will take place Sept. 18 at 11 a.m. in Ram Hall.

The Constitution Day event celebrates the 225th anniversary of the Constitutional Convention. 

In addition to serving on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit, Pryor teaches law classes at the University of Alabama. 

Appointed by President George W. Bush during a Senate recess in 2004, Pryor’s appointment was confirmed by the U.S. Senate in 2005. Pryor served as attorney general of Alabama from 1997 to 2004. He was later elected and reelected to that office in 1998 and 2002.
