Judson College Employees Recognized for Service

Judson College recognized a number of employees at the annual Employee Recognition Convocation on Oct. 6.

College president David Potts presided and noted that the honorees represented more than 120 years of service to the institution. 

“Work is a good thing,” Potts said to the assembled students, faculty and staff. “A good motto for life is to find things for your hands to do that are constructive and uplifting.”

Five-year honorees included Charles Flaherty and Elizabeth Huey, of the facilities staff; sports information director, Marsha Ford; and director of faith-based service and learning, Susan Jones.

Ten-year honorees were security officer, Michael Russell, and assistant facilities director, James Huey.

Twenty-five-year honorees included registrar, Eleanor Drake, and facilities staffer, Lee Andrew Mims.

Biology professor Thomas Wilson was honored for 40 years of service.
