The Judson College Art Club and departments of art and English received a nationally competitive collegiate grant from the French American Cultural Exchange for the acquisition and screening of five recent French-language films on campus.
Various Judson faculty members will lead post-screening discussions of the first four films. Carmen Mayer-Robin, assistant professor of French at the University of Alabama, will be a guest speaker and discussion leader at the final screening. All screenings will take place in the Adams-Armstrong Lecture Hall of the Lowder Science Building.
The screening schedule is as follows:
• “L’illusionniste” (“The Illusionist”), Oct. 26, 7 p.m.
• “La fille du RER” (“The Girl on the Train”), Nov. 1, 2:30 p.m.
• “Entre les murs” (“The Class”), Nov. 2, 7 p.m.
• “Le père de mes enfants” (“Father of My Children”), Nov. 8, 7 p.m.
• “Lourdes,” Nov. 9, 7 p.m.
