The Judson College Western equestrian team competed at its first set of Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA) shows for the season Oct. 8.
The shows were hosted by North Georgia College & State University in Dahlonega.
Other competitors included Berry College, Clemson University, Georgia Tech and Lander University.
The Judson team finished third overall during both competitions and qualified two riders for the end-of-season Western regional show.
Four of the nine team members were competing in their first Western IHSA show, coach Jennifer Hoggle said.
