The Birmingham-based student ministry Passport Inc. announced Jan. 11 that it had received a $1 million grant from the Lilly Endowment to support The Growing Faith Initiative, which offers digital resources, engagement opportunities and accessible spiritual activities to families with youth and children.
In March of 2022, Passport received a $50,000 planning grant from Lilly Endowment to explore projects that may help families with faith formation. Passport was awarded the second grant to implement the projects identified in the planning process, including the daily devotional site, d365.org, offering families additional resources and engagement opportunities. The overarching goal of the Growing Faith Initiative is to provide parents with tools and resources for casual faith conversations that can be woven into everyday life, according to a statement released by Passport Inc.
