Freddie William Green, a longtime minister of music, died May 30. He was 84.
A Harpersville, Alabama, native, Green was part of the national guard for six years.

He served full time at Bethel Baptist Church in Dothan, Seventh Street Baptist in Cullman, Hepzibah Baptist Church in Talladega (where he served twice, lastly until his retirement in 2010), and Eastdale Baptist Church in Montgomery. He also served in a variety of other roles on church staff as well.
He had a music degree from Baptist Bible Institute in Graceville, Florida.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Patsy Davis Green; two daughters Scarlett Green Snider of Cartersville, Georgia, and Melanie Green Hall of McDonough, Georgia; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a sister, Jean Green Robinson.
