Lucifer on the loose

Lucifer on the loose

In January, a computer virus destroyed files on my hard drive. I purchased a new computer and printer.. Then July 23, I received a message from “Christian Ethics Today” in Wimberly, Texas, saying I was sending a virus to everyone in my address book. I was shocked. Then my cousin, Dr. Joe Trull, editor, sent a message to me saying I was sending a virus to them. Suddenly I started getting returned messages from people with whom I had never corresponded. To make al long story short, my computer has again been destroyed by someone very evil and very smart. This person has also sent this evil thin via my computer to my friends, family and church members.

I have a Bible dictionary which defines Lucifer this way: “This word, signifying ‘light-giver,’ occurs but once in our Bible and is then applied to the king of Babylon to indicate his glory as that of a morning star or a son of the morning. Tertulian and some others suppose the passage to relate to the fall of Satan and hence the term is now usually applied in that way; though as it seems without sufficient warrant.

Webster’s College Dictionary defines Lucifer as “a proud rebellious archangel, identified with Satan, who fell from heaven.”

Whether you call it Lucifer or Satan, the devil is alive and well. We need more prayers and less “high tech.”
