Meetings set to coincide with upcoming state convention

Each year prior to and during the Alabama Baptist State Convention annual meeting various groups across Alabama Baptist life meet to connect and conduct business. Meeting alongside this year’s annual meeting, which will be held at Eastern Shore Baptist Church, Daphne, on Nov. 12–13, are:

Alabama Church Planter Network — The Alabama Church Planter Network will hold a dinner Nov. 10 at 3Circle Church, Fairhope, 4:30–8:30 p.m. For more information visit www.tabonline.org/planters.

Alabama Network of Christian Community Ministers (ANCCM) — This group will meet Nov. 11 at Prodisee Pantry in Spanish Fort, 8:30 a.m. For more information email kkennedy@alsbom.org.

Unite: A Gathering of Alabama Baptist College Ministry Leaders — The Unite event will be held Nov. 11 at the University of South Alabama Baptist Student Center, 4–8 p.m. It will feature “Ted-talk” style presentations on a range of collegiate ministry issues, Q&A time and dinner. Alabama Singing Men/Women — Alabama Singing Men and Women will meet Nov. 11 for a rehearsal at 4:30 p.m. followed by a fellowship banquet at 6 p.m. at First Baptist Church, Bay Minette.

Samford University — Samford will host an alumni breakfast Nov. 12 at First Baptist Church, Fairhope, 7–8 a.m. For more information email kdblackw@samford.edu.

Southern Baptist Theological Seminary — Southern Seminary will hold its alumni and friends luncheon Nov. 12 at Jubilee Baptist Church, Daphne, 12–1:30 p.m. Guest speaker will be Brian Payne, associate professor of Christian theology and expository preaching at Southern. Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary (SWBTS) — Southwestern Seminary will hold its alumni and friends luncheon Nov. 12 at Faith Family Fellowship, 12–1 p.m. A short program will include updates from campus and recorded greetings from new SWBTS President Adam Greenway. Passion Tree — Passion Tree will hold a luncheon Nov. 12 at the Original Oyster House, noon. For more information, email robert@crossroads.family.

University of Mobile (UM) — UM will hold its alumni and friends dinner Nov. 12 following the afternoon session of the state convention annual meeting. Baldwin Chapter of Judson Alumnae Meet and Greet — The Baldwin Chapter of Judson Alumnae will hold a meet and greet Nov. 11 at First Baptist Church, Fairhope, 6:30–8 p.m. For more information email joyceoeverstreet1@att.net.
