Alan Floyd, pastor of Cottage Hill Baptist Church, Mobile, and his wife, Kathy, attended the 2020 National Prayer Breakfast in Washington on Feb. 6. The Floyds attended a Congressional dinner, leadership luncheon and meetings regarding religious freedom in conjunction with the event. The National Prayer Breakfast was established in 1953 by President Dwight Eisenhower at the urging of the late Rev. Billy Graham. More than 3,500 typically attend the prayer breakfast, which is hosted by members of the United States Congress and is organized on their behalf by The Fellowship Foundation, a Christian organization. Every president since Eisenhower has attended the annual event. (TAB)
