Q: What led you to serve in the ministry?
A: I felt God calling me to do missions [work] when I was 13 years old.
Q: Why have you continued through the years?
A: Because it’s a pleasure and a joy to know that we are meeting the needs of the less fortunate in our community and we can be a witness to them. We are very thankful to live in the community we live in where different churches are able to provide the services we need.
Q: What does the ministry demand?
A: Time … a lot of time. We never know when the phone rings what it’s going to be. It could be a stove or washing machine that someone needs. People call literally 24 hours a day. We try to be available whenever there’s a need.
Q: What do you get from the ministry?
A: A sense of peace and a satisfaction in knowing that something we do might be a catalyst to the Lord.
Q: How do you see yourself involved in this in the future?
A: I would like to say that I still see us here 20 years from now. There’s always going to be a need for the services we provide, and I pray that we are going to be here for a long time.
Q: What difference will this ministry make for you in the future?
A: Well I’m not sure about us, but for the families we serve we hope they will become more independent. We also hope they realize there is a Christian community that wants to help serve them.
