Two missionary couples with ties to Alabama have been appointed by the North American Mission Board.
C. Michael and Marilyn Gravette serve in Atlanta, Ga., where Michael Gravette is special ministries missionary for the Georgia Baptist Convention.
Michael, who considers Birmingham his hometown, is a graduate of the University of Alabama, Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Forth Worth, Texas, and Luther Rice Seminary. He has served as a pastor since 1969 in Georgia, Texas, Alabama, Missouri and Oklahoma.
Marilyn Gravette, and Alabama native, also is a graduate of the University of Alabama. She has previously served as director of Albany Outreach in Albany, Ga.
Jack N. and Rebecca S. is director of missions for the Costa Meda Baptist Association. Jack, a native of Coffeeville, is a graduate of Baylor University in Waco, Texas, and Southwestern Seminary. He has served as pastor or associate pastor of churches in California, Georgia, Alabama and Texas.
Rebecca, a Tennessee native, is a graduate of Baylor University and Mercer University in Atlanta, where she received her master’s degree in communications management. She is senior publications manager for Genesys Telecommunications Laboratories in Daly City Calif.
