Between Aug. 9 and Sept. 5, more than 30 Christians were killed in one state in Nigeria, a country that has for some time led the world in the number of believers slain for their faith.
Muslim Fulani herdsmen are suspected in most of the recent deaths, sources told Christian Daily International-Morning Star News.

The following attacks were reported by the news outlet:
Aug. 9: A believer helping guard the Jakatai community from Fulani herdsmen was slain by soldiers.
Aug. 12: A Christian man was killed in Murish village.
‘Women and children’
Aug. 18: A 3 a.m. attack upon Bin-Per village claimed the lives of 25 Christians. One resident said “most of the victims were women and children.”
Aug. 18: Soldiers were deployed to Sabon Layi, where Christians were protesting killings in the area. A source said soldiers killed a Christian protester.
Sept. 3: Kinat and Kop-Naanle were raided and one Christian died in each village.
Sept. 5: One Christian was slain in Fungtim community and two others in Kinat community.
