Franklin Lee Kirksey, former pastor of churches in Alabama, Mississippi and South Carolina, died Sept. 11. He was 64.
A Mobile native, he was a pastor for over 30 years and in ministry for 47 years. Among the churches he led was First Baptist Church Spanish Fort.
His columns appeared in newspapers in Baldwin, Mobile, Washington and Clarke counties, as well as in Cascade, Montana. He also was a frequent guest writer in The Alabama Baptist newspaper through the years…
He is the author of “Sound Biblical Preaching: Giving the Bible a Voice” and “Don’t Miss the Revival! Messages for Revival and Spiritual Awakening from Isaiah.”
He is survived by his wife of over 35 years, Sharon.
