Phenix City couple expands rodeo ministry to full-time evangelism

Fred and Jean Woodall plan to enter full-time evangelism May 15.

Members of Golden Acres Baptist Church, Phenix City, the two have a heart for rodeo ministry. They founded Much More Ministries in 2001 to minister to non-Christians on the rodeo circuit – both competitors and fans.

Fred already serves as chaplain in several bull-riding associations and as team evangelist for Golden Acres. Moving into full-time evangelism will allow him to expand his ministry into church revivals. Jean will be able to speak at women’s conferences.

A graduate of Russell County High School, Southern Union Junior College in Wadley and Florida Baptist Theological College (now Baptist College of Florida) in Graceville, Fla., Fred was licensed and ordained into the ministry in 1974. Prior to that, he served with the U.S. Air Force in the Vietnam War.

Fred has served 28 years as a pastor of Southern Baptist churches in Alabama and Georgia. He also founded “Truths for Truckers” – a truck-stop ministry- and served as a high school football chaplain.

Besides revivals and rodeos, Fred is available for retreats, Bible conferences, youth camps and retreats, adult and senior events, and pulpit supply.

To contact Fred and Jean, call 334-745-0380, e-mail chapfred@bellsouth.net or write to 410 Lee Road 257, Opelika, AL 36804.
