Pleasant View Missionary Baptist Church, Holly Pond, will celebrate its 90th anniversary Sept. 15 at 11 a.m. A covered dish lunch will follow the service and a short program will follow the meal. The church will also host its regular third Sunday singing that night at 6 featuring The Kellys. Randy Burtram is pastor.

Travis McKenzie, a University of Mobile senior psychology major, has been named the 2024 Army ROTC Outstanding Cadet of the Year by the Mobile Bay Veterans Commission.
NorthPark Baptist Church, Trussville, celebrated 25 years of Bill Wilks’ pastoral ministry there during their Nov. 17 service.
