Theological Education Opportunities for Bivocational Pastors

TAB News for January 3, 2019.

Fifty-one percent of Alabama Baptist pastors are bivocational. If all church staff is counted, then 90 percent of Alabama Baptist ministers are bivocational. Most have little or no theological education but University of Mobile leaders are launching a new opportunity that will be accessible and affordable no matter where you are located.

Rob Jackson, executive director of the institute for global leadership at University of Mobile, joins us on this week’s TAB News to give all the details about this new opportunity and tell us about other happenings at UM.

Following the 28-minute interview with Rob, writers and editors of The Alabama Baptist newspaper present an audio digest of this week’s issue including an interview with new editor Jennifer Rash, news, features, Dr. Jerry Batson’s Theology 101 column and Sunday School commentaries.
