Protecting volition

Thank you, Bob Terry, for your editorial, “Should a Church Surrender Its Autonomy?” in the Jan. 27 issue. I surely hope all New Testament students will read it with seriousness.

To me, the two basic words we must hold dearly in our Alabama Baptist churches are volition and autonomy.

We must be on guard to protect them along with other core beliefs the New Testament teaches, for we have as our enemy Satan who is showing himself at this very moment.
