The University of Mobile’s (UM) RamTonz was named the best college barbershop quartet in the Southeast in the 2007 Dixie District College Quartet Finals.
The finals were sponsored by the Society for the Preservation and Encouragement of Barber Shop Quartet Singing in America Inc. during its Dixie District Spring Convention in Knoxville, Tenn., March 23–25. RamTonz will compete in the Bank of America Collegiate Barbershop Quartet Contest at the society’s July international convention in Denver.
The project, supported by Send Relief, aimed to empower women with the knowledge and skills to improve their families’ diets and generate income. At the heart of it was soybeans, a rich source of plant-based protein, carbs and fat.
