Jennifer Davis Rash, editor-in-chief of The Alabama Baptist/TAB Media, shared about the dying art of reporting credible news during the Feb. 3 Cullman County Kiwanis Club meeting.
Maybe it comes down to money — “I’m not really sure,” Rash said, “but headlines touting preposterous actions catch attention and tempt readers to click on the link. And heated discussions on radio shows and TV programs where voices are raised cause a sense of urgency and anxiety among the listeners.”
However, many of these types of stories are missing important facts vital to a fair presentation of the situation, Rash explained.
Rash was invited to speak at the meeting by Tom Fillinger (pictured above) of FBC Cullman. (TAB)
