Reuben “Lucky” Teague, retired director of missions for Walker Baptist Association and longtime Alabama Baptist pastor, died June 21. He was 71.
Teague retired in 2015 after leading Walker Association for 15 years. In his 27 years as a pastor, he served several Alabama Baptist churches, including: First Baptist Church, Greenhill; Flint Baptist Church, Decatur; Flatwoods Baptist Church, Northport; Union Hill Missionary Baptist Church, Moulton; and Oak Forest Baptist Church, Somerville.
Teague held a bachelor’s degree from Athens State University and a master of divinity from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. From 1993-1998, he served NOBTS as director of church/minister relations and alumni affairs.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Angie. He is survived by his wife, Connie, and his daughter Lori.
