Samford shifting all classes online for next few weeks

While there are no confirmed COVID-19 cases on the Samford University campus in Birmingham or in Alabama, Samford officials announced March 11 they are taking measures to protect the health of its campus community.

Samford intends to maintain essential operations through the end of this semester, according to a message posted on the Samford website. This will allow students to complete the academic work already underway for this term.

Beginning Monday, March 16, all courses will move to online instruction, officials announced. All employees will continue to work on campus until otherwise notified. The plan at the moment is for on-campus instruction to resume on Monday, April 6. (TAB, Samford)
