Samford to host Old Song Sing-Along

What began as a Samford Auxiliary program of tribute to the music and memory of gospel music composer Philip P. Bliss has become a popular and growing tradition.
This year’s Old Song Sing-Along is Sept. 23 at 2 p.m. in Reid Chapel on the Samford University campus in Birmingham.

Joseph Hopkins, dean of Samford’s school of the arts, will direct the program, which also will feature concert organist Ken Varner of Simpsonville, S.C., and church and concert pianist Barbara Bamberg of Houston.
The Samford A Cappella Choir also will sing.
