Sanders: Philippines

The Lord opened up a brand new campus for us a little over a year ago. Starting in June 2007, Emily and Sheena (Filipina teammates) were assigned to work with me on this new campus. They have done an incredible job of building relationships with students. This school year, we have met hundreds of students and started new Bible study groups. We praise God for four students who have followed the Lord in believer’s baptism.

This year, we decided to do corporate worship on a weeknight instead of Sunday afternoon. We found a church that was willing for us to rent their sanctuary. We praise God for what is happening — students from our campuses are gathering together for worship, fellowship and preaching.

In October 2007, I began praying about the possibility of publishing a book for Filipino youth and young adults — a book dealing with relationship and moral purity issues.

I talked to a Christian publishing company, and we began working on the manuscript. If all goes as planned, the book will be released this month.
