Schultz shares about God’s unchanging love through songs

While performing concerts around the country, Dove Award-winning recording artist Mark Schultz often shares his testimony and personal story of adoption in hopes of raising awareness for orphan care and helping young families recognize this desperate need.

“It must have been so hard for my biological mother to give birth to a baby and say with tears in her eyes: ‘There’s so much I want to give you that I can’t. I’m going to love you by giving you to someone who can take care of you,’” Schultz said.

“That’s amazing to me, and every day I’m grateful for the parents who adopted me when I was 2 weeks old and helped me to become the person I am today.”

Desiring to help make a difference in the lives of orphans, Schultz went on a 3,500-mile bicycle ride across America in 2007, which raised more than $250,000.

As the writer of songs such as “Letters From War” and “He’s My Son,” Schultz is known for powerful and poignant lyrics that point people straight to the gospel. His newest album, “All Things Possible,” contains a collection of songs that celebrate God’s faithfulness in the midst of struggles, trials and uncertainties.

“There’s only so much we can do on our own strength,” Schultz said.

“When I reached the end of my rope and asked God to take control, it seemed like He opened up endless possibilities. I want to show people what it means to place their hope and trust in the Lord. Our confidence is not in our situations; it is in the Lord.

“I would hope that as people listen to these songs and identify with the struggles, that they would know that God is the same through the struggles as He is during the triumphant moments. God’s love and faithfulness never change.”
