Mitchell (Mitch) Carter, 76, died Feb. 3. He was senior pastor of Macedonia Baptist Church, Sylacauga, for more than four years and church pianist for more than eight years. He also played the guitar and composed 450 gospel songs. He is survived by his wife, Jannia; one son; and three grandchildren.
