Mary Elizabeth “Betty” Davis Shirley, wife of Harold A. Shirley, died Dec. 19. She was 83. A native of Chambers County, she was a graduate of Samford University in Birmingham. Harold was the first pastor of Weatherly Heights Church, Huntsville. His last Alabama pastorate was First Church, Talladega.
