Three Tennessee River Baptist Association churches (Mount Nebo Baptist Church, Hollytree; Halls Chapel Baptist Church, Estillfork; and Freedom Baptist Church, Estillfork) held the Paint Rock Valley Tent Revival on Sept. 26–28. The chuck wagon team of Cowboy Church of Marshall County, Boaz, a Marshall Baptist Association church, served an old-fashioned chuck wagon meal and Jimmy Garner, former pastor of Skyland Boulevard Baptist Church, Tuscaloosa, was the evangelist. Director of Missions Dwight Everett said the revival saw several gospel seeds planted and was encouraged by the outcome of the event, which saw more than 100 participants each night. “We want to reach this valley for Christ,” Everett said, pictured here (right) introducing Garner before he speaks.
