THANKS FOR COVERAGE

I have just finished reading through the Feb. 19 issue of The Alabama Baptist. What reading pleasure. My wife and I are retired Southern Baptist international missionaries and have just recently moved to Birmingham, as she is the new multicultural consultant for national Woman’s Missionary Union.

We are members of North Shelby Baptist Church, which provides The Alabama Baptist for all members. It is truly a delight to receive a denominational newspaper with so much excellent material, as well as excellent coverage of Baptist news.

I was especially pleased with Harry L. Poe’s informative articles on our beloved deacons. They have always been my choice friends – all of them. It is always good to have our eyes opened to our inconsistencies as spiritual leaders. If the truth pains us a bit, it should sooner or later purify.

Thanks again for an excellent Baptist Newspaper.
