Tharptown Baptist in Russellville calls new pastor

Chip Martin is the new pastor of Tharptown Baptist Church, Russellville, where he also served from 2001 to 2008. He planted Celebration Church, Montrose, Colorado, where he served for more than 10 years before returning to Alabama to serve as the pastor of Barton First Baptist Church, Cherokee.

Martin holds degrees from the University of Alabama; the University of Tennessee, Chattanooga; and Liberty University, Lynchburg, Virginia.

Martin and his wife, Melanie, have three children, one grandchild and one grandchild on the way.
