Tidewater has just released its third CD, a three-song EP on ROXR records, produced by Kevin Gales (Fiona Apple, Kid Rock and Sarah McLachlan).

Tidewater is a one-man band, Brett Allen, who plays guitars, mandolin and banjo. He got a little help on this EP from well-respected drummer Kenny Aronoff. Previous collaboration between Allen and Gales has produced considerable success in several indie music charts, including a three-week stay in the top-40 of iTunes singer/songwriter chart. This record should be no different.

The record’s single, “Not Just Any Love,” is a touching ballad heralding the love of our heavenly Father. The title cut highlights a life of faith through several vignettes. “Desire,” the last track, touches on our destructive needs and wants. All songs are well-written, artfully recorded pieces, and this EP should further Tidewater’s exposure in the Christian music world.
