LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Russell Moore has been named dean of the school of theology and senior vice president of academic administration at Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, the Southern Baptist Convention’s oldest seminary. James Scroggins was named dean of Boyce College, the seminary’s undergraduate school. Moore was assistant professor of theology at Southern and executive director of the seminary’s Carl F.H. Henry Institute for Evangelical Engagement. Scroggins was minister to students at Highview Baptist Church, Louisville, and assistant professor of youth ministry at Boyce College. Both men earned their Ph.D. degrees from Southern Seminary.
