Tyler Eiland is the new director of missions for Chilton Baptist Association. He was born and raised in Chilton County, coming to know Christ through First Baptist Church, Clanton. He previously served as pastor of Verbena Baptist Church. He also served as a church planter in Missouri, pastored a church in Tennessee and served with the International Mission Board in the Democratic Republic of Congo. He holds degrees from Samford University and was part of a seminary cohort program through Southern Baptist Theological Seminary and Lakeview Baptist Church, Auburn. He and his wife, Jennifer, have three children. (Chilton Baptist Association)
