The U.S. Supreme Court on May 17 said it will review a state law that bans abortion in almost all cases after 15 weeks of pregnancy.
Observers say the announcement could signal the court’s 6–3 conservative majority is ready to roll back, if not overturn, Roe v. Wade, the 1973 decision that legalized abortion in the U.S.
