The University of Mobile welcomed five new faculty members for the 2009–10 academic year.
Donna Beuk, assistant professor of nursing, previously served as an instructor of nursing at Pensacola Junior College in Florida.
Bruce Earnest, associate professor of musical theater, had served as director of musical theater and associate professor of theater at the University of South Dakota in Vermillion since 2006.
He also developed and leads the International Performing Arts Institute, a summer program for theater and opera in Kiefersfelden, Germany.
Christopher Lovely, instructor of music, previously served as church musician, director of music ministries and worship pastor in several churches in southeast Mississippi.
Jenelle McElroy, instructor of nursing, recently served as a nurse manager at Providence Hospital in Mobile.
Chad Stutz, assistant professor of English, received the Donald J. White Teaching Excellence Award in 2006 from Boston College and served as managing editor of the college’s Religion and the Arts journal.
