Use caution related to calls about TAB

Last week, The Alabama Baptist/TAB Media (TAB) was made aware of a strange call received by one of the pastors featured in a recent issue.

The call came from an out-of-state area code, but the caller identified himself as being with TAB.

According to the pastor who received the call, the caller said he wanted to send the featured pastor a digital copy of a recent article about the church.

When a TAB staff member called the phone number back, he discovered that the voicemail is a generic message about receiving a plaque with any article in which you are featured.

We thank the pastor for alerting us so we could warn all TAB readers about these calls. TAB is not connected to this group in any way, and everyone should exercise caution about strange phone calls as well as unusual emails. (TAB)
