Congratulations should be offered to the class of ’06 as well as the “ConGRADulations” series itself. This year marks its 15th anniversary of encouraging graduating high school seniors to continue their Christian walk beyond their home church youth group and into the real world.

Though the sounds of Petra and the Newsboys have been replaced with Superchick and Relient K, the message is the same — God is always there.

The nine other bands showcased are Disciple, the incomparable GRITS, MercyMe and crossover phenoms P.O.D., as well as newcomers Jonah 33, Stellar Kart, Building 429, Decyfer Down and the Jonas Brothers, Christian rock’s nine-years-late answer to Hanson.

As in recent years, this is a two-disc set complete with CD-ROM bonus features ranging from video messages from many of the featured artists to an electronic New Testament.

There is enough musical variety in this latest “ConGRADulations” installment to make this a great gift for any graduate.
