A major fire destroyed Victory Missionary Baptist Church in Birmingham today (May 15). The cause is currently unknown.
Birmingham Fire and Rescue responded, and one firefighter was taken to a hospital for treatment for minor injuries.
This is the second time for Victory’s building to be affected by a fire in recent months — in October 2025, their building caught fire and “suffered both water and smoke damage along with other structural issues,” according to a Facebook from Pastor Albert W. Bry Jr.
