Three Christians were gunned down in one Nigerian state, and funerals were held for 30 individuals massacred in another state.
In Nigeria’s Plateau state, one Christian — with Bible in hand on his way to church — was killed Aug. 9 in Fann village, a resident told Christian Daily International-Morning Star News.

That followed the Aug. 4 raid upon the residence of the pastor of a Church of Christ in Nations congregation in Kuk village. The pastor’s son was killed in that attack, a source said.
A third Christian was killed Aug. 5 in Lukfai village, a resident said.
Muslim Fulani herdsmen are suspected in each of those incidents, as well as the Aug. 3 abduction of Mary John, a young Christian woman in the Angbingbin village in Nasarawa state, sources told the news outlet.
In Kaduna state, funeral services were held for three evangelical Christians and 27 Catholics massacred July 26 in Naridon village.
Ten women and 11 children — one only 3 years old — numbered among the slain, Christian Daily-Morning Star reports, quoting Open Doors.
