Want to know God?

Want to know God?

This column was written before the inauguration but now a new president is in office. It does not matter who you voted for — one side is likely thrilled while one side is furious.

The goal of Satan is to divide what was built as a God-fearing, Bible-believing nation into factions. This is to divide us so he can come in and conquer.

The reality is that no matter who wins elections, no matter how they intend to lead this country, God is still in control.

We must still love one another and put squabbles aside — this is the greatest commandment (Matt. 22:37–39). The Bible tells us that in the last days before Jesus returns, it will be as birthing pains (Matt. 24:8).

The trouble is going to increase, friends. The struggle is real and it is beginning. No one knows when Jesus will return but when He does, it will happen in an instant. I pray that anyone who does not know the Lord, or even us that do but need to be closer to Him, will stop right where you are and open your Bible. God has something to say to you.

If you don’t know where to start, I encourage you to start in the Gospel of John. It really is our faith in a nutshell.

I love the entire Bible but personally the New Testament certainly makes me feel closer to the person of Jesus. If you do not have a Bible, go online or go to a church and ask for one — just get in the Word of the Lord. The time is coming, friends. I beg of you to get ready.
