The congregation of White Pond Baptist Church in Marbury held a special dedication service for its new multipurpose building June 24 along with the monthly Wednesday night meal. The church shared a supper of Mexican food and cut a red ribbon to celebrate the addition to their campus. The dedication culminated in an open house-style tour.
Ministry assistant Amy Fray described the building as a gym with three “good-sized” education rooms and bathroom suites attached. Above the classrooms is an upstairs space that could be used for additional classrooms in the future. They plan to use the rooms for their adult Sunday School classes, who have been meeting in a divided fellowship hall.
Fray said the project was a “longtime vision that God has brought to fruition very smoothly.” The builder was a professing Christian, who “did not let the grass grow under his feet!”
Construction began in October 2025 and was completed in May. “We didn’t have to make anything happen,” Fray celebrated.
White Pond is a church in Autauga Baptist Association. Donnie Burns is pastor.
