The board of directors for the Alabama Women’s Hall of Fame is soliciting nominations until Aug. 1 for the 2004 induction.
The Alabama Women’s Hall of Fame is housed in the A. Howard Bean Hall of Judson College in Marion and has honored the accomplishments of Alabama women for 32 years, including such persons as Helen Adams Keller, Lurleen Burns Wallace, Julia Strudwick Tutwiler, Amelia Gayle Gorgas and Tallulah Bankhead.
Nominees must be natives of Alabama or very closely identified with the state and must have been deceased for at least two years. Additionally, nominees must have made significant contributions through their personal or professional lives on a state, national or international level.
