Women’s scholarship created at Golden Gate

DENVER — A new scholarship to help women prepare for Christian ministry at the Rocky Mountain campus of Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary has been announced by a Colorado law enforcement chaplain.

Naomi Paget of Longmont, Colo., a chaplain for the FBI and the Colorado Highway Patrol, will fund the Neva Burk Rocky Mountain Scholarship for Women in Ministry. Paget also is involved in training chaplains for disaster relief and is a leader in Marketplace Samaritans, which trains chaplains for corporate settings. She is scheduled to receive a doctor of ministry degree in June from Golden Gate Seminary. The scholarship is being named in honor of Neva Burk who was a Mission Service Corps missionary for 13 years in New England and has since retired to her home in Henderson, Texas.
