The Wall Street Journal named Samford the top university in the state for the 2nd year in a row. Nationally, Samford is ranked No. 226 of the nearly 1,000 U.S. universities and colleges that appear in the ranking. Samford ranks No. 12 in the nation for student engagement. Of the top 12 universities ranked in that category, nine of them have a religious affiliation.
