Rick Mitchell, co-pastor of Forest Lake Baptist Church, Tuscaloosa, retired March 27.
He previously served as pastor of Holt Baptist Church, which merged with Forest Lake in 2018. He also served other churches in Alabama (Vance Baptist Church; Taylorville Baptist Church, Tuscaloosa; Calvary Baptist Church, Tuscaloosa), Louisiana and Mississippi. He is a graduate of the University of Alabama and New Orleans Seminary.
He and his wife, Carol, have two children and three grandchildren.
