ABUJA, Nigeria — Twenty-four Christians have been slain and nine kidnapped in recent weeks in Nigeria in continued attacks upon believers.
Nigeria has led the world in the number of Christians killed for their faith or abducted, state the media sources Christian Daily International and Morning Star News.

The following are recent reports from the two news outlets:
— Twenty-one Christians were killed in October and November in Benue state. Muslim Fulani herdsmen are suspected of killing six Christians in an attack Nov.1–2 upon Ayilomo village. Fifteen other Christians were killed Oct. 30 in Anyiin village, according to sources.
— Fulani also are suspected of slaying three Christians in Nigeria’s Plateau state. One Christian was ambushed and shot to death Nov. 3 in Daika village. On Oct. 27 in Hwollaza village, a woman and her adult son were killed, and a third family member was critically injured, sources state.
— Nine Christians were abducted in Kaduna state by herdsmen. Four Christians were taken Nov. 1 from the villages of Mai-Iddo and Arikon. On Oct. 17, four women and a child were kidnapped from Mai-Iddo, sources told the news outlets.
Nigeria is No. 6 on Open Doors’ 2024 World Watch List of places most difficult to be a Christian.
