“There’s something different about you,” Jason Barton sings on the fourth track of this impressive 10-song debut. He’s singing about Jesus but he could be singing about his music. It’s obvious from the first twangy stanza of the first infectious song that there is something different about this band. The guys in 33 Miles look like they should be doing “rail slides” and “ollies” with their skateboards over the streets of Nashville, not cranking out the modern Music City sound. But they are. That says more about country music than Christian music, but 33 Miles are refreshing across the board.
