PICKENS ASSOCIATION
On April 28, Garden Baptist Church, Aliceville, celebrated its 75th anniversary. Pickens Baptist Association associational mission strategist Lyle Dease and retired director of missions Gary Farley were the guest speakers. Angie Cooper presented the church with a certificate on behalf of the Alabama Baptist Historical Commission.
Lifelong member Elizabeth Kelley was surprised with a special recognition during the service. She has been a member of the church since its founding in 1944 when she was less than a year old.
“It was a great time,” said Pastor Mike Ezelle. “Everyone enjoyed it.”
