Longtime Alabama Baptist music minister Glen Jennings died July 29. He was 82.
Jennings began his ministry singing in Reform before attending Samford University. During his 60-year ministry, he served on staff at Oakland Baptist, Green Acres Baptist, Raleigh Avenue Baptist and Tenth Avenue Baptist, all in Birmingham; Westmeade Baptist, Decatur; First Baptist, Winfield; Orchard Baptist, Navco Baptist and Seven Hills Baptist, all in Mobile; Memorial Baptist, Citronelle; Shiloh Baptist, Priceville; Kushla Baptist, Saraland; and Haven Woods Baptist, Semmes.
Jennings is survived by his wife, Becky, who throughout his ministry was either at the organ or piano. He is also survived by three daughters, Melody, Celeste and Marsha; one son, Darrell; 14 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
