Devco Baptist Church, Geneva, recently celebrates 50th anniversary

Devco Baptist Church, Geneva, recently celebrated its 50th anniversary with two special services — one on Feb. 14 and one on March 28.

“The Lord blessed in both services,” church member Vitilia Crutchfield said.

At the first service, Ricky Hall — pastor of Shiloh Baptist Church, Hartford, who grew up at Devco Baptist — preached, and Walter Wilson provided special music.

At the second service, Pastor Ronnie Baine preached, and The Devco Group (Terry Roney, Ken Ellis, Charles White, Regina Roney and Debbie Morris) provided special music.

Lonette Berg, executive director of the Alabama Baptist Historical Commission, also presented a certificate to the church.
