Seminary extension centers offer variety of options

Seminary extension centers offer opportunities to learn from the professors and other scholars connected with the six Southern Baptist seminaries.

The various Alabama extension centers associated with New Orleans Seminary recently consolidated efforts to become one main center located at Valleydale Church in Birmingham.

“A variety of new online opportunities have opened up with New Orleans Seminary and its undergraduate school, Leavell College,” said extension center director Stephen Hall.

Dewayne Rembert, pastor of Flatline Church at Chisholm, recently began his degree program through the center.

“It’s making a huge difference in our church,” he said. “I am teaching hermeneutics at Flatline on Wednesday nights. First night, we only made it through two steps but boy are they fired up.”
